Santa's workshop

To me, the Holidays mean plenty of reasons to make stuff! Here are some cards I made for the ladies at school:

...and some more of those green and red frames. These are so fun! One of the secretaries at work ordered these and is putting pictures of her daughters (now grown with children of their own) on Santa's lap in them. What a cool idea!

God is great

I painted a few of these for some ladies at work.

It was a great idea! It looks good in her kitchen, as she was nice enough to send me a picture after I forgot to take one myself.

Sweet Girl

Almost 3 years ago, I painted these for a sweet little baby girl. Pretty soon I'll be doing some more for her baby sister. I can't wait to meet her!!

Printing

Last spring I went through a freezer paper printing phase.

I love my kids names but they're different here on the mainland. Good luck finding a personalized kid's item with "Iwalani" on it.

Inspired by that I made my son a shirt with his name made into an old British motorcycle logo.
Then the possibilities were endless...

...starting with Mr. T of course.

Then humor. This one was for my youngest. She's crazy.
Then these. I love octopi. Love them. Don't know why but these shirts are cool, too.
I made a few of these, too. "Hapa" is a Hawaiian term for people who are part Hawaiian. I'd like to see the look their faces if my kids were ever to wear these in Hawaii. My kids are super white.

Tulle extravaganza

My latest tutu:
I have more tutus to come but maybe I can somehow find a cuter way to photograph them. Real sophisticated, eh?
This tutu was ordered by someone but I was inspired by these dresses (which were photographed well by a professional). I made them for my girls last spring for their Aunt's wedding:

Christmas canvasses

These are 8x10 canvasses wrapped in fabric and painted.

I sewed buttons on these. I think they turned out pretty cute!

I've always been curious about hand beading. Ladies and gentlemen, I am curious no more. I now know that it's cathartic, takes forever, and turns out really well for this project. After I finish my other beaded canvas, I'm not sure how often I'll do it but it was worth the experience. Plus, before I added the beads, this canvas looked like some sort of joyful Communist symbol.

Pottery

Pottery is my favorite, but it's the hardest for me to find time to thow/trim/fire/glaze. Here's what I've been working on lately:

I used a new glaze called Robin's Egg Blue. I LOVE it!!The side view of the same bowl:a smaller Robin's Egg bowl.
a plate
...and two smaller bowls.
